In this blog post, we’ve compiled some information and links to resources that can help your family stay healthy and safe during the coronavirus pandemic.
Residents can find up-to-date information about the coronavirus on Connecticut’s Official State Website, including Frequently Asked Questions about Connecticut’s response to COVID-19 and specific information about which sectors of the community are open, partially open, and still closed.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is one of your best resources for information about COVID-19 prevention. According to their recommendations:
COVID-19 is believed to be mainly spread through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person talks, coughs, or sneezes. Social distancing and cloth face coverings are important preventive measures to protect yourself and others from these droplets, which can land in your mouth or nose if you are near an infected person (even if they are asymptomatic).
Proper handwashing is and always has been one of the most effective ways to prevent disease. As the CDC says, “Clean Hands Save Lives.”
You can follow the CDC on Facebook here.
The U.S. Food & Drug Administration also has a COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions resource page for individuals and families.
