FIXED DENTURES
Fixed dentures consist of a bridge that is supported by mini-implanted teeth and provides a more stable, fixed structure like your natural teeth. They also have a few perks that will benefit you in the long-term health of your mouth. For example, fixed dentures may prevent deterioration of the jaw bone and help you maintain your facial shape. They are also a permanent and affordable restoration after having lost or lost all your teeth.
REMOVABLE DENTURES
Both fixed and removable dentures can ensure your ability to speak and eat with ease without worrying about slippage or movement of the fixtures. Removable dentures, however, are not secured in place and can be removed for any reason. The perfect fit is only a few visits away!

DENTURES FAQ
How will wearing dentures affect eating?
Once your dentures are in place, it will take a short period of time to get used to eating with them. Your gums may feel sore during this adjustment period, so we recommend eating soft foods that don’t require a lot of chewing initially. You may also find it beneficial to cut food up and only use your back teeth to chew instead of biting into things. Once you have adjusted to wearing your new dentures, there are very few limitations on the foods you can eat, and chewing with a full set of durable, functional teeth should make eating much easier.
How do I care for my dentures?
Dentures should not be brushed with toothpaste as natural teeth are. Instead, patients should brush their dentures with a soft-bristle toothbrush and a non-abrasive denture cleaner to keep them clean and in good condition. You should also soak your dentures in a denture solution overnight to kill bacteria and keep them moist. You should gently brush your gums twice daily to keep them clean and rinse dentures with cold or warm (not hot) water in the morning before putting them in your mouth.
Can I sleep in my dentures?
Patients should avoid making a habit of sleeping with their dentures in, but it can be done if necessary. In these cases, remove and clean dentures before putting them in for the night to ensure that they are bacteria-free. Remember that dentures must remain moist to keep their precise shape, and mouths tend to become dry during long periods of sleep, which is not their ideal environment. Most patients find it more comfortable to remove dentures and let their gums rest during the night.
