DENTAL EMERGENCY FAQS
What is considered a dental emergency?
Among the most common dental emergencies:
- Abscess (bump) on gums
- Broken crown, bridge, or denture
- Chipped or cracked tooth
- Knocked-out tooth
- Lost filling
- Sudden jaw pain
- Throbbing or persistent toothache
If you’re experiencing any of these issues, please call our office right away so we can arrange a time for you to see us!
Do dental offices have spots open for dental emergencies?
Ours does! We purposely leave room in our schedule to care for patients with emergencies as soon as possible. Dental trauma, severe infection, and a knocked-out tooth should be treated right away as these situations will lead to lasting damage if not rectified quickly. Quick action can also make the difference between your natural tooth being saved or not.
Is a dental emergency covered by insurance?
It depends as coverage varies from provider to provider. To check if emergency dentistry is included in your plan, get in touch with your insurance provider or call our office and our financial coordinator can look into it for you! If your emergency visit isn’t covered, don’t fret. We offer a variety of financial options to help you fit the emergency care you need into your budget!
